Albums

The discography of American rock group Toto includes 13 studio albums, 4 live albums, and numerous compilations. In addition to releasing original music, Toto has also done work with other artists and on soundtracks for films. The group has won multiple Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed, members of the band performed sessions for other musicians. David Paich, the son of drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all played on Boz Scaggsalbum in 1975 Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.

The third album of Toto, Turn Back, marked a departure from the more progressive sound of their previous efforts and was criticized for its absence of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Frederiksen resigned from the group The group held auditions for the new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the album Fahrenheit in 1986.

Toto released Toto XX in 1998 to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The band went through old tapes and recordings to create the album. The album was well received by fans, and the band embarked on a tour with former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.

During the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun the drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released a double-CD live set titled Falling in Between, which included recordings from the tour as well as an interview with the group.
